While the Obama administration says it needs more time to assess the potential risks around Keystone XL pipeline is proposed, a vast underground network of more than 2 million miles of pipeline across the United States energy already.

The u.s. State Department has expressed concern over the environmental impact of the pipeline, particularly in the Nebraska Sandhills, the dunes of porous which includes a high concentration of wetlands and aquifer keys.
